MEET JOHN GULLEY

John H. Gulley’s desire to become an electrician started at a young age when Nantucket was experiencing its building boom and the trades provided a secure future. His passion for the industry is shared with his sons, Taylor and Nicholas. It’s truly a family business.

Since John founded the business in 2001, it has grown steadily to become one of the largest, most reliable, and most advantageous electrical companies on Nantucket. John graduated from New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island with a degree in Electrical Technology. After graduating, he went on to obtain his Journeyman Electrical License for the state of Massachusetts. Furthermore, he went on to secure his Master’s Electrical License for the state of Massachusetts. John continues to stay up to date with the code and uses his knowledge to teach the younger generation through programs in the Nantucket High School.

John has been a leader in the electrical industry for over 30 years providing knowledge and guidance to many of Nantucket’s most recent electrical companies. The mission for Gulley Electric has always been to provide the best possible service to the community of Nantucket.
